Engineering Manager DevOps

As an Engineering Manager of DevOps at Meister, you will have two key responsibilities: guiding your team’s progress and helping to steer the development of our products and services. You will also play a key role in the growth of your colleagues by acting as both a mentor and coach for their development.

What Makes You Special

  • Engineering credentials. You have a BSc in Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a similar field.
  • Solid technical expertise. You are confident working in cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud. You can put Kubernetes to work and are familiar with infrastructure as code. Experience with Helm is a plus.
  • Coding know-how. You know your way around back-end development. Know-how in Ruby and/or Elixir is a plus.
  • Leadership qualities. Your excellent mentoring and coaching skills allow you to lead by example and keep your team productive and happy. Previous leadership experience is a plus!
  • Talent for management. You know how to create a strong feedback culture within and across teams. You can conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews, and are able to define new development goals and improvement strategies.
  • Pioneering spirit. You can take the lead in technical discussions and make a meaningful contribution to the development and future growth of your DevOps peers.
  • Outstanding communication skills. You have a flair for communicating business requirements to different stakeholders, in- and outside of engineering.
  • Proactive mindset. Your curiosity, resourcefulness and ability to work independently help drive us on.
  • Team spirit. Your outstanding skills in organization and collaboration don’t just fit Meister: they make us better.
  • Language skills. You have excellent written and spoken English skills.
