Every Step of the Way
Your Journey to Meister.
Ready to become a Meister Lobster and work beautifully together with us? Then it’s time to begin the hiring and onboarding process! Before you send your application, read through this helpful guide to plan your journey from applicant to new team member. Whatever position you apply for, we’ll be with you every step of the way.
First Impressions Matter
Send Your Application.
Your application is a chance to tell us all about you. A well-polished CV and an engaging cover letter are essential. You may also want to provide other materials, depending on which job you apply for. If you are a developer, links to your GitHub help you to show your skills. For creative positions, a portfolio is a great way to self-advertise.
Let’s Talk About It
If everything goes well with your application, you’ll be invited to a 20-30 minute phone interview with a member of our People and Culture Team. Before the interview, you should be prepared to answer questions about your impressions of Meister, the products we create, and any technical requirements listed in the job listing.
Put Your Skills to the Test
Complete a Challenge.
You’ve talked the talk, now it’s time to walk the walk. Your Meister Challenge is representative of the day-to-day work in the role you’ve applied for. Don’t think about it as a test: it’s a chance for you to envisage what life at Meister is like, and a chance for us to get a better idea of your strengths. Relax, and give it your best shot!
Your Time to Shine
Your personal interview will normally be held with your prospective team lead. You’ll answer questions about your experience and motivation, and you can explain why you’re the perfect fit for our team. Do your homework on Meister and ask about things you’re interested in. Be honest, be authentic and sell yourself!
Welcome to Meister.
Before signing on the dotted line, you’ll meet your new team. This informal chat takes some pressure away from the first day of work. Just be yourself and you’ll be fine! After signing your contract, our team will take you through any paperwork you need to complete before your official start date. Then, you can prepare for onboarding!

Onboarding at Meister is designed to help you transition smoothly into your new role. Our program is a unique blend of introductory talks, workshops and social events that help you get to know the company before your day-to-day work begins.
